Welcome at the Department of Economics at the University of Mannheim, one of the largest and most reputable economics departments in Germany! Our faculty members are engaged in a variety of research projects at the frontiers of their fields, ranging from micro- and macro-economics, econometrics, labor economics, industrial organization, financial economics, auctions and game theory, policy analysis and evaluation to economic history and international trade.

With the expertise of this faculty, we are offering a first-class Master of Science program in Economics. The program is designed for a small group of excellent students who want to acquire the skills necessary for successful careers in international organizations or academia, and leading positions in the public and private sector.
